'Extreme Makeover' comes to the Flint Hills

Chapman, in Dickinson County, near I-70 west of Junction City, is the site this week of the ABC project: "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."(link is to the local TV station website, KTKA.com. An Associated Press article also appeared in the Thursday Emporia Gazette, and likely other local paper. The Topeka Capital-Journal had this story, today.

It is a wonderful story. We are very pleased that the ABC project chose the Chapman family and community for the program!

Tall Grass Prairie related Newsletters

Please do check out the 10 Nov 2008 edition of Flint Hills, Tall Grass. Dennis lists and discusses a number of newsletters that should be of interest to most of you. Each of these has a focus of its own, of course... some will have more interest to some of you than others.

Since this blog has recently focused on events, and events are a bit more sparse in the late fall and winter, I highly recommend you check out the newsletters that Dennis suggests, and follow the ones that interest you, as some of your regular reading materials.
