Oregon Trail Nature Park, Belvue, KS

Oregon Trail Nature Park & Jeffrey Energy Center Wildlife Area, three miles north of Belvue, KS, is a joint venture between Kansas Wildlife and Parks and Kansas Power and Light (now Western Resources). There are three wildlife areas and one nature park located within the property borders of Jeffery Energy Center.Belvue is located in south central Pottawatomie County along U.S. 24. The area is rich in wildlife, such as: White tailed deer, rabbit, squirrel, coyote, raccoon, opossum, prairie chicken, quail, and turkey.
