June 12 is the day of the 16th Annual Flint Hills Prairie Wildflower and Pasture Tour in Chase County. The two tours will be held at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
If you want to participate: 1) Registration is required. Tours are limited to 200 people at each time; 2) Persons having reduced mobility needs may call for more information; and 3) To make reservations, please call the Chase County Extension Office at (620) 273-6491 or the Butler County Extension Office.
Registered tour participants are asked to meet on Kansas Highway 177 in Matfield Green in front of the BNSF railway office (old Matfield Green Post Office) or at the Cassoday Grade School in Cassoday. The bus caravan will proceed off main roads with stops at pasture sites in Chase County.
