This BLOG exists to promote the FLINT HILLS OF KANSAS as a tourism destination for experiential tourists who seek a new place to visit, a place to enjoy and appreciate nature, history and culture while maintaining the environment unchanged for the enjoyment of those who come after us. Rural economic development to sustain the Flint Hills environment, heritage and culture is a direct benefit of being a tourism destination.

In early November (2207) I traveled to the Tallgrass Prairie region on a photograhy assignment. I was amazed at the natural beauty of the Prairie and plan to return for winter and spring photos to complete my portfolio.
More special than the photos I brought back are great memories of Cottowood Falls, (Fresh apple butter at Emma Chase's) Strong City, historic Council Grove, and the kind Kansas folks I met along the way.
